Mobile Devices

Our team of employees utilize not only personal barcode scanners, but also mobile handheld devices to access our Inventory management system, take pictures, and communicate with our Sales Department. Our dedicated team of Inventory Technicians, Parts Pullers, Quality Control, Dismantlers, and even our Delivery Drivers are equipped with mobile devices to make daily tasks an even more efficient process.

From the very beginning of our process, Inventory Technicians will enter the new vehicle onto our system with its own stock number. Once the Inventory Technician has evaluated a part, and noted any damage on the device, they will take pictures of the part and add a description of part’s condition. They initiate the part grading system. Next, the Dismantlers will add a barcoded tag to each part as they are removed. They reevaluate and verify the part’s condition, scan the part tag and update the grading system, if needed.  Parts are then safely stored to be certain the condition remains the same. Every part tag is associated with its coded location to ensure parts are not misplaced.

After a part has been ordered, our system will create the order details, including Stock #, part type, description, shipping details, order #, and alert the Parts Puller of a new order. Our processing system automatically sends the details directly to their mobile device. Parts Pullers will locate the part, scan the part’s tag and bring the part into quality control for cleaning and part inspections.

Next up is our Quality Control Department.  They will scan the part tag, to keep track of the order’s progress and update the system along its journey. They also carefully clean each part before photographing in final QC checks before it is packed and protected for shipping. The Quality Control department is extremely important as this is where the final quality checks are made before sending them to the customer!  Part descriptions are once again verified for accurate grading on a mobile device before one last picture of the packaged item is taken. Parts are now ready for shipping or delivery! Even our Delivery Drivers carry individual mobile devices, which are used to scan, photograph, and deliver parts to the proper location.

A Digital World

Daily deliveries are organized and set up through our advanced routing system.  Every morning, our system will send each customer an email with an estimated time of delivery. Let’s talk VIN numbers.  VIN decoding is so important when you want to find the right parts for your vehicle, the first time. You know the VIN has valuable vehicle history and part details but it also identifies any recalls on the vehicle. At Chuck’s, any recalled parts will be removed and identified as not sellable. With interchangeable parts and yearly design updates to different vehicles, we decode the VIN# of every part inquiry to ensure that we source the exact part needed for the customer. We even give the original VIN# of every part to the customer on their invoice.

Within the last 6 months Chuck’s has launched ChucksParts.com, a modern feeling website with listings for our entire inventory. Our website is a fully capable e-commerce platform that gives customers the ability to find and process an order right from their phone! Customers can now preview part pictures and part descriptions, including Paint Code, VIN#, description of condition, part grade, and pricing for our inventory at any time! This website is just one step of improving our online presence in today’s digital marketplace.

Fleet and Facility

With several additions being made to both our Douglassville and York locations over the last 5 years, we have invested considerably in equipment is efficient and sustainable. One example is our closed loop water recycling system, equipped in washbays at both our Douglassville and York locations. Our Water Recycling System recirculates dirty water into a holding tank before filtering out contaminants and pollutants into a safe and disposable media. This system eliminates the issue of fluids and pollutants leaching into the groundwater!  Plus, it guarantees that you are getting clean parts.  This helps keep your facilities clean, too!

Even our fleet delivery vehicles are designed to help our customers!. Our entire fleet of delivery trucks is equipped with pallet jacks and power liftgates which allows a Hands Free delivery process on orders!
