Our Newly added 7,500 sq ft Production Facility & 4,000 sq ft Warehouse!
Chucks is happy and excited to announce the completion of construction at our York Facility, now taking full advantage of our state-of-the-art facility, and new warehouse space!
History
Our York location was first purchased back in winter of 2015, bought as an empty lot from an old Towing company. The facility was adapted to fit our needs, opening the operation for its first sale in January of 2016. It started with 2 dismantling bays, soon adding a third and fourth dismantling bay. It functioned well for years, but the space was limited. The need for more warehouse space became more apparent as time went on. In 2023, we were working the facility to its full capacity. At that time, we averaged about 160 dismantled vehicles a month in our 4 bays, primarily stocking our warehouses with Recycled OEM products.
Brand New Production Facility

York Dismantling Department
We officially began the construction of our Production facility in late 2023, finishing up the project and starting production mid-July of 2024. The new building contains 7 dismantling bays, 2 indoor inventory bays, and 2 additional bays, awaiting future use! Each dismantling bay is equipped with an overhead electric engine hoist, and plenty of additional floor space, compared to the old shop. By moving out the old dismantling bays, this also gave us the option to move some racking into the old dismantling area, creating even more space for more drivetrain inventory. With 2 indoor inventory bays, we can now fit up to four vehicles indoors at a time for evaluation. Unlike before, we can inventory vehicles, regardless of weather conditions, while in a nicely lit environment, ideal for vehicle evaluations.
Additional Warehouse Space for Inventory
Following the completion of the Production facility, we moved into the second phase of our expansion. We added a 4,000 square foot warehouse connecting between the new dismantling building and the original building. With the addition of the 4,000 sq/ft warehouse, we added racking for more used engines and drivetrain components, and a continuously growing stock of over 150 remanufactured Engines and Transmissions. Most importantly, this warehouse now seamlessly connects one foundation across the entire facility. This makes for an easy walk with an engine on a pallet jack to go from Dismantling, right in to the engine warehouse.

Facility Efficiency
Going from our old dismantling shop, averaging about 160 vehicles each month in the 4 bay shop, with a compact workspace, we have significantly increased our volume since then! We are now averaging 200 dismantled vehicles per month at our York site! With the addition of our Northeast partners, we have parts from about 145 vehicles added to our inventory, DAILY. This growth and support has allowed us to expand to new areas, purchase even more, and increase stock of Aftermarket New, and Remanufactured products! Production has become a more efficient process once the building expanded, but how does that compare to the rest of the facility?
The efficient work flow throughout the York facility allows for a smooth trip from the first dismantling bay, across the entire facility, to the opposite end at the customer pickup area, all on one smooth concrete foundation! The layout is set in a convenient way allowing parts to be transported to every department, dismantling, through the warehouse, to the parts wash bay, into quality control, and straight into the shipping and receiving department, ready to be shipped nationwide! This benefits our customers by ensuring a smooth and fast parts ordering process, available for next-day delivery, or even same-day pickup for warehouse parts! Our company is always striving to improve efficiency in order to reduce your vehicle cycle times, and make the process even better for our customers!
Tools and Equipment

Gas Tank Drilling System
With the competition of our state of the art dismantling facility, there have been a few additional pieces of equipment that have helped to make the processes at our facility even smoother! Chuck’s has adopted modern day technologies available to help ensure that we have an accurate inventory system, with detailed part descriptions, and individually barcoded parts. Each Employee has their own personal work device, equipped with a camera and scanner able to move and update part locations, changing parts descriptions, taking pictures of the part condition, and updating part progress in each department.

Another tool that has saved us time, and money, while also being a safer alternative process, is our WEN Fuel Tank Drilling system. This tool allows us to drain fuel from tanks without removing from under the vehicle. This allows us to quickly drain any remaining fuel from vehicles into our holding tanks. Similarly, we also recycle freon using recovery machines to recover the refrigerant, preventing it from escaping into the environment, ready to be recycled! The next largest investment made for the expansion was the purchase of our Komatsu Loader. This became necessary for oversized vehicles to be loaded into the lifts in the new layout.
